UNITED INTERNATIONAL BANK SERVING COMMUNITY

The growth of Asian-Americans and their contribution to the community’s economic growth in the New York area have been quite impressive in recent years. With a continuous influx of new immigrants, the Asian-American community has been growing by leaps and bounds. The exponential growth of the Asian-American population and the fast expansion of their economic activities have combined to create an ever-increasing demand for quality banking products and services. In view of this development, a group of senior bankers and successful entrepreneurs decided to join force to establish a new bank – United International Bank (the “UIB”). It is their common vision and interest to facilitate the continued success of the growing New York Asian-American community. By establishing UIB as a locally based community bank, the goal is to help the Asian-Americans making further contribution to the social and economic vitality of New York City. UIB is therefore committed to serving the community with easier access to decision-makers, high quality professional services, a full product menu, and most important, innovative delivery of customer value and convenience.

Many Asian-Americans in the greater New York area are small local business owners. They often have difficulty in obtaining bank financing to support their business growth. To address this issue, UIB has established a “Small and Mid-sized Business Financial Service Center” dedicated to helping local small businesses. The lending professionals in UIB’s “Business Banking Department” are highly experienced in working with business concerns and entrepreneurs for a variety of credit arrangements ranging from import and export trade finance transactions, accounts receivable and inventory financing, revolving working capital lines of credit, to financing for equipment purchases and other capital expenditures. UIB also has special expertise in a variety of mortgage loan products, both residential and commercial, as well as construction lending, for a broad spectrum of property types and financing arrangements with flexible terms, competitive pricing and fast approvals. The collective expertise assembled among the UIB’s professional banking personnel will ensure that UIB can adequately serve the community’s credit needs.

THE “88 BANK” - CONVENIENCE TO CUSTOMERS

UIB has pioneered the concept of opening to customers for 365 days a year (366 days for leap years), including Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays. UIB also operates extended weekday hours, opening to customers from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm from Monday to Friday, and from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for weekends and national holidays, to accommodate the busy schedules of retailers and commuters. In addition, UIB provides Automated Teller Machines (ATM’s), Internet Banking services, Online Bill-Payment and a fully automated state-of-the-art banking system for customers to access their accounts anytime and anywhere. UIB is also the forerunner in providing both traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese languages on its ATM and internet banking website to serve the Chinese readers from all around the world. UIB is dedicated to creating value for its customers in the most convenient manner and banking hours.
